OK, very odd problem here. 2 weeks ago, my keyboard (ps2) got the connector bent because the cable got tripped on. Then the keyboard started having power before windows loaded (I can press F8 and access boot menu, lights blink at end of loading, etc...) but right at the end of loading, all lights went out and I couldn't type anything. Weird huh. So I got a new PS2 keyboard finally today (poor college kid). Plug it in, boot up windows, and it works!!!!!! So I figure it must have been the keyboard that got hurt and not the port. So I go ahead and install the extra software needed for the multimedia features, reboot, and the keyboard starts doing the same thing that the old one was. I can use it before windows loads, but as soon as the boot sequence is finished, lights are out and the keyboard doesn't work anymore. So, basically, it worked before the software install and not after. As well, the old keyboard had software installed for the multimedia features as well.
Any help is much appreciated.
