I have some custom forms that I use for data entry. I recently reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Win-Xp from scratch. I previously had Windows XP upgraded from 98 (was FAT32 now NTFS).
Ever since I did this, my keyboard is unreliable when entering data in forms. It used to be even when I typed faster than the display, my keystrokes would be buffered and appear correctly. Now I have delays where for 1-2 seconds any keys typed will be missed, resulting in incorrect data entry.
I do have background code in my forms, but this never caused any problems with data entry before reloading my computer. This problem is only in Access, no problems with any other programs. Please help, my data entry is about 25% of normal because I have to look at the screen as I'm typing to make sure everything shows up.

Do you have fast find indexing turned on? If so, try killing that and see if it helps. I know it kills my system much like what you describe.
