hello all,

One of the engineers where i work called me today looking for some help with Procomm that we use on our automated robot. While I know nothing about Procomm at all, I am still trying to find an answer to this problem.

The keyboard setup is totally jacked and I do not know what to do to fix this. Please remember that I do not know where anything is on this program except from looking around and trying to fix things. Could someone please tell me how to fix it so the keyboard types out the correct letters when you hit the keys?

the letter f comes out as ~
the backspace is xx
enter is a ~~

so on and so forth, not one of the keys works the way we need it.

(we lost some expertise in this field to school and other stuff, please help if you can)

My initial thought is that it is not a problem with the keyboard per se, but more likely a problem with either the connection (data bits, parity, etc.) or the terminal emulation. The backspace and enter keys are programmable by a Procomm user, but not the letter and number keys, so that is why I think this. I would first check that Procomm is configured properly for the system it is connected to. If not, that would likely explain the odd characters that are appearing.

Thanks for the reply! :)

We found out finally that the Baud rate was not set right. Needed to be at 19200 (or was it 19600?) anyways, it now works fine, after all the stuff I was trying to do :p
