Keyboard input stops when Outlook message window appears

Since about two months, when i'm typing a new e-mail message in Outlook 2003 and new messages or invitations arrive showing the Outlook message box, the keyboard input stops.

I'm able to continu typing the message as soon as the message box disappears. The problem doesn't occur when i disable this message box for new messages/invitations.

Does anyone have a clue what is causing this?

Is it just that the messagebox has become the focus window?

Can you click back onto your e-mail message and continue typing without clicking the message?

Yes, it seems like this messagebox got the focus, but only when i'm typing a new mail message. It doesn't occur when i'm typing in Word or any other application.

What puzzles me... this didn't happen a few months ago. That's why i'm thinking that maybe some update caused this?

Of course i'm just guessing... ;-)
