I like to initialize my keyboard again, when I am logged in (due to Data Switch for keyboard). In HP-UX it can be done by log-out and relogin to CDE, but which command does this ??? How to do it without logout? Please help me !

Hi,

I saw this thread in the HPUX forum, but didn't answer it because I don't know much about X or about CDE. So, sorry for the delay but I was hoping that a CDE person would be able to answer your question.

The only UNIX thing I can suggest is the command I would try on a normal telnet login when things go screwy.

My other suggestion would be to contact the vendor of your Data Switch and see if they have any ideas, they may well have come across it before. Mike

Email welcome if you're in a hurry or something -- but post in tek-tips as well please, and I will post my reply here as well.
