Keyboard error on 'entering sleep mode'

when my computer tryies to go into sleep mode, I get an error message saying the keyboard will not respond. It is the original keyboard that came with the computer.

If it's a USB KB, then connect it to a different USB port.
If it's PS/2, then try a different KB.
