Keyboard Driver not XP compatible - what now?

I just upgraded my PC from WinME to WinXPpro. My keyboard is a Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro. The disk with the driver says that it isn't compatible with this version of windows, and says to go to the manufacture for an updated driver. However, the updated driver from Microsoft does not list Internet Keyboard Pro as a possiblity. It has Internet Keyboard, and I use that, but most of the extra buttons along the top are un-useable, un-configurable, and make me wonder why Microsoft doesn't support their own products.

Does anyone out there know where I can get a working WinXPpro driver for my Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro? Does one even exists, or am I doomed?

Sounds like you may be "doomed".

According to this first link that keyboard is no longer supported and is discontinued. You may have to buy another keyboard or suffer with what you have. The remaining links might be worth a look.

Have you looked at the MS Intellitype Pro driver? It supports allmost all of the MS keyboard family. I saw the Internet keyboard as one of the items and if I remember correctly I used that combo several years ago.

I am using that "MS Intellitype Pro" driver. And although it supports the "Internet keyboard" it does not do the "Internet Keyboard Pro". Sad really.

I guess that all hardware has a limited lifespan - whether it still works or not - sometimes I hate our disposable society.
