Having misplaced my Siemens course notes some time back I've now been asked to configure a Key System. I remember some of the stuff about setting Terminal Profiles etc. but would really appreciate a bit of assistance.

Can anyone help me please.

The first thing to check is system parameter SPEKO.

Type of keysystem working supported. (Range 0 to 2, 0 = basic keysystem working - default, 1 = enhanced keysystem working, 2 = networked keysystem working)

To set up a local keysytem group so that group members can be monitored is as follows:

Use the LEX command for each extension required to be a member of a keysystem group to see if they are already a member of an existing keysystem group.

If none of the local telephones are in an existing keysystem group, or if the keysystem group is inappropriate, use the LKSG A command to locate a spare group.

Use the RKSG and LKSG commands to assign each local and extension to the keysystem group.

Use the GTP command to get a profile of an extension. This copies an existing or new terminal profile into the scratch area, which allows you to clear or change the profiles.

Use the RTP command to revise the attributes of the profile to suit your case.

Use the STP command to send the profile to the extension/extensions.

Use the LTP command to confirm change.

To set up networked keysystem groups there is a bit more involved, as reporting paths, and digit translations have to be set up.

Good Luck.
