Hi all

Does anyone know if you can do the following and if so how:

I have 2 exts, say 3121 (external cpn 01481818121) and 3160(external cpn 01481818160), i put a key system key on ext 3121 of 3160.

I then make a call using that line key but i want the far end to see the CPN of 01481818160 and not my cpn.

Would have thought the theory of keysystem groups would have allowed for that?

Anyone any ideas?

Matt

Outgoing CPN is be based on the Prime DN of the set making the call, not the DN of the line appearance used.

Hi lundah

Appreciate that. But you would have thought that when you use line 3160 (by pressing the line key programmed on 3121) it actually uses 3160 (as the prime light on 3160 is lit). Would be nice if it almost "used that Ext" to dial out.

Am i making sense? ::))

woo hoo!

Sorted it! All you have to do is in the COS of the handset the key is on tick "non-prime public network identity" to yes

You can then go out on that line and release the CPN of the key system not your prime!

That's a new one to me. Thanks for the update, I'll have to add that to my notes.

I have experimented with that option in the past and it did not work as advertised. I suspect that some combination of programming prevented it. Glad it worked out for you.

You have to make sure there's an entry in the CPN table aswell. i.e. if your key system is a phantom number make sure you add it in the CPN. If you have a Key system key of another extension, it will use that CPN

My issues would have been a little less obvious.

It wasn't a deal breaker so I never really tried to resolve it.

Nice to know it can work regardless.
