All-
We have a couple of Sun W2100Z machines running RHEL4. They contain dual Opterons as processors. We are finding keventd running wild and seeing IO-APIC-level acpi interrupt rates that run into the several thousands per second. Sometimes it is noticable in the response of the system and sometimes not, but it seems to pretty much always be there. RedHat has an article under their FAQ that says to ajust BIOS settings to "SRAT disabled" and "Node interleave auto". They also caution that not all Opteron systems have these options in their setup menu. Well, ours does not. Anyone have a way to fix this without these settings in setup?
Thanks,
Wilville
