Kernel_Data_Inpage Error (0 x 0000007a error messag)

This morning I woke up and found that my system running windows 2000 professional had a blue screen of death and had the following error message:0 x0000007a and Kernel_Data_Inpage error.
I googled it up but did not receive any helpful information.
Does this mean a hard drive failure? Any idea to resolve this issue.

Did the system reboot or did the blue screen return? More likely it means RAM failure:

But it could also be SATA controller error. Check the cables, remove one stick of RAM if you have two, try swapping them. Run the disk diagnostics in the above article.

Might be worth running chkdsk from the reovery console incase there are errors on the drive.
