KERNEL32.DLL FAILED. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

Hello all.

Since the beginning of the my contract, this server has
continuously emitted the following error, on an intermittent basis, frequency monthly.

C:\..SYSTEM32\KERNEL32.dll failed. The process is terminating abnormally.

I have tried registry hacks to increase the size of the Desktop Heap, with no success.

I have not tried to add more ram to the system as it is not
hitting its peak.
I have placed the paging file on seperate physical drives, where performance has only benefited.

I would like further suggestions, and experiences as to what you did to solve your problem.

If this problem only happens once a month then, is it possible that there is a task that is set to run once a month (ie: batch file) and the software associated with the task has been removed?
