since I installed windows Me, on regular basis while surfing the net, i get the following message :
'Iexplorer has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL
Iexplorer will now close.'
Then the whole things is blocked, i can't even restart it.
The Kernel versionnumber is 4.90.0.3000.
Can anyone tell me what to do, or send me a copy of the Kernel file so i can restore it ?
please reply at Erikadv@yahoo.com
I will be eternaly grateful

The kernel32.dll file is rebuilt every time windows boots, IF it needs to be.
Extracting it from the CD, and restarting allows windows to rebuild it with the necessary data to continue working, and then windows will modify it, depending on what programs you load and run during that session.
On an improper shutdown, the kernel32.dll file can get corrupted, causing the error to occur in each subsequent session.
A simple replacement of the basic one from the CD usually fixes the problem, at least temporarily. The problem can reoccur, especially if the browser has a problem. It's usually associated most heavily with IE, thus a replace of kernel32.dll AND an IE "repair" may both be necessary.
If the user is running Netscape, then a reinstall of Netscape is probably wise, as Netscape seems to cause the error far more often than any other program.
