Kernel upgrade using up2date?

I am using RH7.3 and RH8.0. I just have a question about upgrade kernel:
Is it reliable for using up2date to upgrade my kernel?
If there is any problem after upgraded the kernel using up2date, how can I turn my old kernel back?

the older kernel versions do not get deleted. You will still be able to see them when lilo or grub boots. If you want to go back, you can always change to the one you want in your boot loader.
