Hi ALL

I want to update kernel to 2.4.9-38 from existing 2.4.9-14.Can anyone tell me on how to go about it.I have redhat linux 7.2.

Regards,
RK

Updating your kernel is risky business if you don't know what you're doing. I have learned the hard way...

If you're going to upgrade, I'd suggest two things: 1) Upgrade to the latest kernal available, and 2) Try the update process on a machine that you're not afraid of losing (if you have one available).

And probably most important, why do you want to upgrade in the first place?

Easy way to upgrade your RH 7.2 kernel. You can connect to RedHat Network. And you can upgrade your RH 7.2 kernel through internet. I already done before and succesfully.
Good Luck.....:)
