HI guys
I am totally new to linux and
I am just curious to take a look at the kernel source code
I went to

http://www.kernel.org

and downloaded the latests linux kernel after i opened the tar ball file there is only one file
and no source code do i still need to decompress the bz file too
or it is not the source code and it is the compiled version of it please help

if you have linux-X.X.XX.tar.bz2

then try

tar -xjf linux-X.X.XX.tar.bz2


if you just want a quick browse you can also look at
