Hi,

I have installed SuSE Linux 7.3 on an Acer Server Altos 500.
SCSI: AIC 7880.
I left everything on 'standard', the installation ran through without any problems.
Even a Q-Logic Fibre Channel Adapter 2200 was recognized correctly. But after the adapter was connected to LSI MetaStor Storage System (SAN) I couldn't boot Linux anymore.
With the software "SANshare" a LUN was correctly assigned.
While booting SuSE "sees" 29 LUNs and following error message occurs:
VFS: Cannot open root device "807" or 08:07";
please append a correct "root=" option;
Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 08:07

What can I do?
Thanks for your help.
