I have a powerbook g4 that had mac os x panther on it with the latest updates and now it won't boot. Always has a kernal panic and asks to restart.
I went out and bought Tiger since we are going to upgrades these MAC eventually and I upgrade and reloaded the OS and it still does the same thing.

Any ideas what else to do before i take it in to a apple shop?

thx.

things that i have done is cleared the nvram and reset all, and ran diskwarrior that found problems and fixed them all but i guess none related to the issue i am having.

Actually got it into safe mode so will do some research from here.

Are there any accessories attached via USB and/or firewire? Try pulling them out.

Okay figured it out. Rebooted in single user mode and read through the kernal panic, researched on the internet and found the same error which pointed to the airport (which was stated in the kernal panic but just made sure) extreme card. Removed that and it boots up fine.
