Kernal 2.4.1 Skew clock detected

hi ,
I am trying to load new Kernal 2.4.1 for Red HAT on my PIII 700 M/C
after running make menuconfig ; it gives error stating that skew clock detected and build is incomplete.
It gives same error at the end of each process.
any idea why ?????

Hi,
I am able to rectify it. It is the system clock problem.
File dates were in futur as compared to the system clock.
