Hi there!
I tried to install Kerio Firewall 5, and all seemed to work fine. I checked the NAT checkbox at the wizard, and a have no restrictions whatsoever outwards.

When one of my clients tried to access windows update, nothing happened. Has anyone solutions?

I have the same problem.... the system trying to update is freshly installed win2k pro with sp4

Update: I temporarily resolved this by pointing that client to WinProxy's non-transparent proxy.. through that it was able to access winupdate

I had the same problem. I tried various settings. Under proxy server I unchecked 'enable automatic configeration for browers'. Under cache, I unchecked 'enable cache on tranparent proxy' and selected 'continue aborted download'

For some reason thos all seemed to work.

I have found out in my case, that with all versions of winroute 5, and version 4.1 and 4.2 of winroute pro, the cache in both transparent and non-transparent proxies does not work well. The time-to-live settings do not work well, i always get old pages when i turn on the cache. For some reason, in my case that is, winroute doesnt check properly of the page has been updated in the meantime. I just keep all caching OFF, and let my browser cache the pages. With broadband internet there is no real need for cache.

Port 443 is probably being blocked (https). I have the same problem with the Kerio Free version (I work for a charity) and I can't see how to resolve this one. On corporate firewall simply open 443 and Windows Update will work again. If anyone can tell me how to solve this in Kerio I will be most grateful

Windows update works fine with me. I didn't need to alter any settings for it to work. Although , as I mentioned before, I advise to turn off both transparent AND non-transparent Proxy Caching.
There is one thing that might be different: I have UPNP turned on for MSN Messenger. So you could try that.
