I am using Crystal Report 7.0 version. And there are no good Date functions in it (Ex: Number of week days between two dates). If I can use Crystal reports 8.0 do I have all those functions in them .

If I need to continue using Crystal 7.0 should I write my own functions.

thank you

Crystal 8 does have a DateDiff function, that will do weeks, months and years, but it does these without consideration of the days.

In other words there are 0 years between 1/1/2000 and 12/31/2000 but there is one year between 12/31/2000 and 1/1/2001. It takes the year from each, and subtracts one from the other.

Weeks are easy in 7 or 8 since you can calculate the difference in days and then divide by 7.

I noticed after I answered your question that you asked for me by name.

It is better you summarize your question in the subject, rather than asking for a specific person. I am not always here and someone else who knows the answer might not want to answer a question if you specify me. Ken Hamady
