I HAVE A TOSHIBA PORTEGE LAPTOP WITH A TOSHIBA BUILT IN
MODEM. I HAD NO PROBLEMS UNTIL NOW.
WHEN I CONNECT TO MY SERVER THE DIAL UP NETWORK CONNECTION
MESSAGE "DIALING" AND IT NEVER CHANGES, IT REMAINS DIALING FOREVER.I HAVE'NT CHANGE NOTHING IN MY CONFIGURATION.
CAN SOMEONE HELP?

I'll assume you've re-checked the phone socket is ok, and that the number still dials ok with a conventional telephone handset... Do you have sound with your modem? Did you previously hear it when it dialed out the digits? Does it make that noise now? Not sure what op system you're running, but if W95 or W98, go to Control Panel, click on Modems, select modem/comport and run the diags. If it passes, it could be a dodgy lead to your phone socket. Alternatively, try using HyperTerminal to see if you can make a connection.
