Ok how do I keep a subtotal on the same page as the data it is totaling. I have subtotals that get printed after the page break. Does this make sense?

If there isn't enough rooom on the first page, and you want the group to print together on the following page, then go into the "change group expert -> options" and check "keep group together" for this group.

If there is plenty of room you probably have the wrong page break option set. Your group footer should use "New Page After". Ken Hamady

Is there not a way to have the report automatically resize the page in order to keep the subtotal on the same page as its data? The "Keep Together" is checked in both the header and footer of the group. Also if I choose "New Page After" I end with a couple of line per page on some of the pages. It basically turns my 140 page report into a 540 page report

No, Crystal will not resize the page.

But, "keep together" in the Section Expert is not the same as "Keep Group Together" in the Change Group Expert. This will push a small group entirely to the next page when it doesn't fit on the previous page.

What happens if you take out all of the page break checkmarks? Ken Hamady

Format - Section

Highlight each section in the window on the left one at a time and uncheck any "New Page before/after" check marks that you see. Ken Hamady
