keeping size of window the same on next startup

Hello,
Is there a setting for Notes to remember the size of the last time it was used. I have a dual monitor system and I resize it to fit in one monitor, but on every startup of Notes it occupies both monitors. I also have to choose everytime to display the 'preview pane'. If there is a fix for one or both of these, please let me know. Thanks in advance!
