Keeping MS-Word index hyperlinks

Hello, there.

I have converted a lot of MS-Word documents into PDF files using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 but still can't find the way to keep the MS-Word documents' index "hypertexted".

I mean when you click on an index entry in some PDF files it takes you to the chapter but I can't accomplish that.
