Is it a bad thing to bring a PDC on-line about once a week?
What we want to do is have a notebook as a PDC and keep it off site incase of a disaster. I was wondering if it would hurt anything if I were to bring it on line to sycronize on a weekly schedule.

in reality the notebook would be a member server since your network should already have a PDC

No harm would be done to your network if you brought it online for syncronizing as long as its a member and not a PDC. (you can promote it if you do have to recover)

Then again the PDC might get confused and lonely for the member server (notebook) but it would get over it real fst

hope this helps

The only thing that would
