I have a Hieratical Database on a mainframe and am useing InfoAccess to connecto to it. I have a problem where I am trying to update a child table through a parent table. The connection does not stay open so I can't do a Select on the parent table and insert into the child table (and it knowing what set to use to connect the 2...no identical key fields). Does anyone know how to use ASP to keep the connection open so that when I do the insert it will know what parent I have selected?
