I keep getting this code ARQ/V32/LAPM/V42BIS and losing my connect after a short time, when connection to procomm plus

Is this on a system that has always worked in the past and is now causing problems, or have you ever made a connection successfully? One thing I recall seeing in the old days was connecting to a modem that didn't support either error correction or data compression. The string you mentioned should be appearing when the connection is made, is that correct?

Hey Knob

No it use to work find, but now when I connect, It say connected then it lose it connection.

Sorry, I didn't catch your reply to this thread earlier. Has anything changed on either end of the connection? Computer, modem, Windows versions, etc.?

Do you recall seeing the ARQ/V32/LAPM/V42BIS string before? If not, did something else use to display?

This is a string sent by your modem. Make sure your moden is set for "Dumb" mode.

Nortel all the way
