Keep itunes minimized when opening a new file

Hi all

I would like to know a way I can keep itunes minimized when I open a new mp3 file. So for example if I download a new mp3 or music file and then when I click open I want itunes to stay in the system tray and not open up. I have seen it do this before but I dont remember how I did it, any help would be great, thanks. (itunes running on windows)
