Hello,

I'm looking to roll out IE 5.5 or higher in a K-12 school district. The only thing keeping me from doing so is that I can not figure out how to remove the "remember password" checkbox from the proxy login dialog.

IE is set up to use an authenticating HTTP proxy. This all works fine but the dialog that asks the user for his/her proxy password has a checkbox allowing the user to save the password. If this is done, the next user to use that computer only has to press "OK" to log in with the previous users username/password.

I have tried every option in the IEAK I could think of with no success. I can switch of password saving for everything except the proxy dialog.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

You could always remove the inetcpl.cpl file from the system that wasy no one could access the INTERNET OPTIONS menu. It's an alternate answer if you can't find what you really want. joegz
