Keep Asking For Office XP Serial Number

I just install Office XP on my Windows XP computer. Once it is installed before I can use the software it asks for my serial number. I put in serial number and it says close application and restart application. When I do that the message comes back up about re-entering serial number again. I have did this 7 times and I still can't use MS Word because it continues to ask for serial number. Can someone help me with this?

The only thing I can suggest is that you need to make sure you're typing in the serial number exactly as it appears(check that your "O"s aren't "0"s for instance). If it doesn't work, try contacting your software vendor.
