Hello,

Is there a way to disable the "X" in the top right hand corner of the ProComm window? Every once in awhile a user will lock up a database file and then "X" out of the window. At that point the only recourse is to reboot the server.

If the X in the top right of the window could be disabled, I could send a string to the screen (when they exit properly) which could possibly be used as a trigger for the script to close the window.

TIA,
-Ted

Off the top of my head, I don't believe so. One thing you could do is have a "dummy" script running that either complains before Procomm shuts down (they have to say yes to close the active script) or setup the dialog such that Procomm could not be shutdown at all.

Here's one more option I forgot I had on my website:

proc main
set aspect control ON

while 1
yield
endwhile
endproc

The set aspect control ON command will not let the user kill the script, which keeps Procomm from being shut down short of a reboot.
