KDS 3700 vs 9700 1

Hello All,

Someone I am working with has a 9700. Of course Oracle/Micros is trying to get her to replace the 9700 with RES. One of the things they are pushing is the RES KDS, as we know the 9700 also supports KDS. Does the 3700 have advantages over the 9700 in regard to the KDS?

As a side note, RES and 3700 are synonymous are they not, the salesmen just keep saying RES.

RES covers 3700POS, LM, PM, FM, GSS and a few other utilities. But typically when they say RES they mean 3700 and vice versa.
I have never worked with 9700 but i believe KDS works very similarly between the two platforms (it was originaly a standalone product that you could install on 3700 or 9700)
There a probably a few option bits on both sides that the other does not have but nothing major. If i would guess 3700 KDS has a few more options as it is used in a lot of fast food/fast casual/pizza locations.
