Hi.. we are using Excel 2010 and are looking to develop a Kanban board in Excel... has anyone out there tried this? Please share pros and cons... I was looking at Visio but not everyone in the group here has Visio...

Thanks

Hi,

So what are your rules for reorder? That would need to be defined to provide an order signal to the supplier

How would the signal be transmitted to the supplier?

Just two questions that come to mind.

I've always used a schedule driven MRP system, but I know that a KANBAN pull system can work effectively, if the suppliers can respond to the demand in a timely manner.
