Justify long text to multiple rows to reduce width in MS Office XP 1

Can I Justify long text that is 1 row by 5 cells wide to 3 rows and 2 cells horizontally?
It only seems to cram the text into the now 5 row height originating one cell!
I used to be able to but can't seem to any longer.
