I just want to reseat the CMDU before I get a replacement. Have seen this clear up problems before. The good CPU is in MAINT mode. Just can't remember, do I need to faceplate disable the CNI's in the inactive CPU before doing the sequence below?

LD 137
STAT (STATUS OF IODU/Cs)
DIS CMDU x (disable suspect CMDU)
DIS IOP x (disable suspect IOP)
Set ENB/DIS switch to DIS
Remove NT5D61 IODU card
Reinsert NT5D61 IODU card
Set ENB/DIS switch to ENB
ENL CMDU x
ENL IOP x
STAT

This is my problem:

OVL000
>ld 137
CIOD000
.stat
IOP 0 ENABLED (STANDBY: S/W STATUS) IODUC
IOP 1 ENABLED (ACTIVE) IODUC
CMDU 0 DISABLED (No Access to HDK)
CMDU 1 ENABLED (ACTIVE)
RDUN DISABLED
ELNK ENABLED
SDEV 1 OK (KC VALID)

I would. I would make sue I was properly split first prior to that and come out of maint when the sys 700 mess appears.

run the test on the HDK, sometimes that will bring it up, otherwise no need to dsbl the CNI's, just faceplate dsbl the cmdu and reseat it

Try a DATA cmdu 0 hdk as suggested above and try a SYNC after.....

If this IODU/C is release 4 or 6 toss it ang get a new one. There is a known problem with them doing this exact thing.

Mission accomplished without and disruption. I did not disable the CNI's. Reseated CMDU, enabled and did SYNC. Everything tested and did SCPU. A-OK.

Thanx
