I've just about had it! The only reason I upgraded was because getting NSW 2005 for free after rebates was cheaper than renewing my subscription.

First install hung up - had to turn off the computer.
The Windows wouldn't boot.
Windows booted on the 2nd try.
2nd install ran several minutes, them gave me error messages.
Used a utility to delete everything Symantec related from the registry.
3rd install ran to completion.
Completed the registration and attempted Live Update
Got a message saying Live update was not installed.
Uninstalled NSW
Reinstalled NSw
Still got the Live Update not installed message.
Downloaded Live Update
Tryed to install Live Update
Got a messag saying Live Update was already installed.
Removed Live Update
Installed Live Update
Ran Live Update (twice)
Attempted to Run Disk Doctor
Got a rewrite error message
System locked up
Rebooted
Ran Windows System doctor
Ran Disk Doctor Again.
The system takes longer to boot and when I went into my browser, I'd get short hangups (ccapp not responding) that recovered on their own.
Lost my whole afternoon. There must be a better program out there. I hope I never have to by another Symatec product again.
