Since the rules are very vague in my opinion, I would like to preface this post that I am not a student, nor am I gonna cheat in any way or form since I need assistance and not in college or any sort of that thing.

So I just purchased two Meridian 1, Option 11C cabinets, both of them with cards and one of them has a PRI card, which I have the service at my apartment unit and I wonder if both of them could interface with each other since the other Meridian would be used as a backup but I am hoping that I could use both of them in tandem.

It would be a good idea to post the item codes of the cards in both cabinets.

One of your cabinets might be an extension one.

Also, I thank you for not saying things like, "OMG! Why did you spend money on a Meridian 1, especially two of them? They're power-guzzlers! Plus, they're old!"
I have my needs all taken care of in the Meridian 1.
I can't wait to get an MICB card to use for a conference bridge.

Scratch having two systems. I only have one.

What sits in slot 0 of my Meridian is NTAK01.

I get this when booting up.

Are your cabinets wall mounted?.

Cabinet No. 1:
NTAK01CA = OPTION 11 CPU BOARD
NTAK03DA = TDS/DTR
NT8D14BB = EXUT trunk card
NT8D09AK = analog card
NT8D02EA = 16 PORT Digital Line Card (DLC)

Cabinet No. 2:
NTAK04AB = OPTION 11 Power Supply Unit
NTDK20AB = OPTION 11c CPU BOARD
NTAK09BA = OPTION 11 E1/T1 card
NT8D02AB = 16 PORT Digital Line Card (DLC)
NT8D14BB = EXUT trunk card

From looking at the cards listed, it seems that Cabinet 1 has an old Option 11 that uses a cartridge as the site ID and Cabinet 2 uses the later Option 11c CPU that has a dongle as the site ID.

You need to be able to log into either system to extract the ISM details in LD 22 to find out what it is licensed for. I'm not sure whether its worth bothering trying to link them up as there isn't much in the way of extensions and no voicemail is present.

You would need to source another E1/T1 card or perhaps another analogue extension card and try to set it up so that calls go out on a trunk and appear as an extension on the other system. Do this for both systems.

Thank you very much for that information.

Would it be ok if I could document my experience here on the Meridian PBX?

I'm having a problem trying to log-in to the command prompt (I'm aware I could be wrong on the terminology) and I tried to enter LOGI and then 0000 as the password but it's incorrect (OVL015). No Admin1 or
Admin2. (This is the one that has the NTAK01 card in it)

The other PBX that has the NTDK20 has been sold off.

As your Option 11 is very old, It's not going to be easy to gain access. It can only be done via reading a recent backup file or having access to TTY 0 in front of the system.

I have access to TTY 0 and I'm using the special Nortel cable (NTBK48) to gain access to the system.

So I have an NTDK20 that I purchased off of eBay and with that, I was able to gain access to PDT2, which makes me have hope on this machine.

One thing I do want to mention is that I tried doing resetPWD and it wasn't able to do so even though I had access to it because it kept on saying that password override mode is on or something to that effect.

Is there anyway to do it?

Sincerely,
Ramadya Sasongko.

You are using the correct method, but you need to have a compatible PCMCIA card no larger than 128 megs and you need to use the original type one SanDisk ones as they were what Nortel recomemnded.
