JUST LET ME DOWNLOAD THE ^$%& FIRMWARE 1

Hi I'm a cisco 506e user. I got the unit from a distributor and i'm now having nightmares trying to download the latest firmware.

Why o why will they not just let plebs like me download a simple file? Afterall, if i screw it all up I'll have to send it to a cisco repair centre to for a chargable repair.

No matter what channel you purchased your unit, you should have called CISCO TAC first. Give them the serial number and have them place whatever files you need in there special downloads site. I had the same problem as you, but TAC was pretty helpfull in providing the files.
