Just installed on Linux machine. Problems

I've just the demo version of IDS2000 on my RH 7.0 box. The installation was successfull and easy, but now when I try to oninit, it says that there is not shared memory for informixserver.

I'd like to install the root dbspace, how do I do it?

If I login as informix user when I type in the console I can't see the characters in screen, although they are typed and are in memory.

The only one environment variable I've setup is $INFORMIXDIR. Any other one to install?

Can anyone help me with these newbies asks??
