just installed netscape on RH 7.3; getting error

I just installed netscape on RH 7.3 using the upgrade installation method. It seems to have worked fine. The box rebooted and at the cmd prompt I type "netscape" but I get an error:

"error, Cant open display"

also, which file does it get installed to on the HD?

Yeah, you're going to need to be in XWindows (or whatever you have setup) in order to run any gui oriented programs. From your command prompt (after you've logged in) type startx and that should get you going.
