We have a unit for our driveway announciator "Cartell" that makes a tone in the front hall of our home when a car arrives in our driveway.
Problem we have been having is it is not able to be heard in different rooms of the house or when we are hanging out outside.
I solved it by linking the tone the unit produces to the music on hold port on the 6.0 acs card and enabled the tone to be produced through my 18D handsets. In addition, if someone is napping they can turn off the feature in the same manner as a DND key.
As I know many people on this board to installs to large homes, this is a common feature and I thought I would pass along the info if it wasnt already here.
