Hello All,

We have recently installed Lotus Domino Server.Since one week we are facing a problem on this server. It is creating some junk mails on its own and sending with random ID's of different domains.Pls help if you have solution for this.

Thanks & Regards

Do you have a virus scanner installed on the server and running correctly?

Many viruses use the SMTP to send out messages from any machine they infect... CJ

NAV for Lotus Domino is running on the server and some times it finds a virus W95.Hybris.Worm and it is able to clean that virus. But still facing a problem withis junk mail geneartion.

Yah, I find thousand of mails in the server mail.box file.
Pls help.....

if it's a R5 server, open the Name and Address Book (NAB) on the server, go to the 'Server-configurations' view and open the configuration document for your server (if there isn't one with the name of your server I suggest you create one).

In the configuration document you'll have to go to the Router/SMTP - Restrictions and Controls - SMTP Inbound Controls tab.

On this page is a field called: Deny messages from the following external internet hosts to be send to external internet domains. Make this field '*' to block all relaying attempts.

check some of the DB's agent. Power up your Notes/Domino if you know how to use it!

Q1: what is power?
Q2: what is up?
Q3: what is Notes/Domino? *&%$#@
