hi all

we are using ips 2000 and having only one ISTD faility junction among 8 junction lines.. when the station is called the operator for international call... how can we get selected the ISTD junction directly when the station is on hold with the console...

please advise

thanks and regards

Ok this is a bit taller of an order!

First might I suggest you read the FAQ on LCR. It can be found here....
Then post back with some information. I don't know where in the world you are so I don't know what you dial for an outside line. Here in OZ its 0 in the UK and America its 9. Whatever you use we will need to know what that is set to in Cmd 200 so cmd 200 de (access code) de ?

Do you know the route number for the ISTD line and is it in a route on it's own? You can find the route number in Cmd 3000 (assuming you know the trunk number) If you are struggling to get the trunk number, simply dial an international number and when you get connected, do a trace on the extension you dialled out from. If it is not in a route on it's own you will have to create a route for it so you can get ready by checking all the Cmd 35xx entries for the route it's currently in and programme a new route with the same settings ready for this line to go into.

I'll leave it at that for now. Get back to us with the information when you can.

hi Mr george

thanks for your response

we have six junction lines..among six junctions only one junction is having international call dailing facility and rest of the junctions are only for national dailing..

We are using "0" for selecting the junctions. But they are being selected randam (or hunting ) basis.. so we have to keep on trying to get selected the required Junction which is having ISTD facility.. Is there any way to get selected the required junction line when the staton is on hold with the console..

please advise me

thanks and regards

what is 0 set to in command 200?

Do you know which line (Dxxx) is the ISTD capable line? (If you can't tell from the records then do a trace as I suggested.

What trunk group is the ISTD line in? Is it the same as the others? (check with Cmd 3000)

We need to move the ISTD line to it's own trunk route to enable us to individually select it!

We will use LCR to make it so that that is what happens automatically, assuming the system currently uses LCR. I will also need to know what ISTD numbers start with where you are.

mr george

As asked by you the following are the outcome from my side

1. zero is the dialing code for selecting the junctions for out going calls.
2.D000 is the ISTD capable line.
3. The ISTD line is in the same group as the others.(in cmd 3000 it is 00)

how to move the ISTD line to it's own trunk route to enable to individually select it?

we are from india and we use to dial for usa russia, south africa japan and indonesia phone lines.we use to starts dialing with their country code followed by 00 from our end..

hope this information would help to guide us..

thanks and regards

im sorry ..i missed the reply for the first question you have asked..

0 is set to cmd 200 is 100

Ok

Unfortunately you aren't using LCR at the moment and trying to set that up from scratch would be difficult, especially as I don't know all the codes for local calls etc. So we will have to set up a manual code. You need to create a new trunk route, and you can set that up in advance. Simply work your way through all the Cmd 35xx commands and if route 01 is not in use (the only real way of checking this is to step through all your trunks in Cmd 3000) set each Cmd 35xx command for route 01 to be the same as route 00 (if 01 is in use use another number between 01 and 63) then in cmd 200 we need to find a code that is set to none (preferably a single digit code) so start at 0 and step through to 9. If none are spare check here ....
and find a code you can use. Set this code to 1xx where xx is the route number you used in Cmd 35xx.

Finally when that is all done change Cmd 3000 de 000 de XX where xx is the route number used in 35xx. and that should do it!

If you have problems using it simply change Cmd 3000 back to the way it was before and you will be back to normal.

mr george
