Hey,
I've setup a jumpstart server and everything works fine. The server is setup with 2.6, 2.7 and 3 versions of 8. I just have one problem. I have the following entry in the sysidcfg file "name_service=NONE". The problem is, this only works for Solaris 8. It just won't work for 2.6 or 2.7. All the other entries work fine, it's just this one.
Any ideas?

Use the nameswitch in add_install_client for sysidcfg to
do automatic name services recognition. The syntax is to
add "-n :none" into add_install_client or append
" ns=:none" into /etc/bootparams.

I have make three sysidcfg: sysidcfg56, sysidcfg57, sysidcfg58

examples:

sysidcfg56:

name_service=NONE
network_interace=PRIMARY
{hostname=pinguin
ip_address=192.9.222.100
netmask=255.255.255.0}
terminal=sun-cmd
timezone=MET
timeserver=localhost
root_password=QWER324SDa
system_local=en_US

sysidcfg58

name_service=NONE
network_interace=PRIMARY
{hostname=tiger
ip_address=192.9.222.2
netmask=255.255.255.0
protocol_ipv6=no}
security_police=NONE
terminal=sun-cmd
timezone=MET
timeserver=localhost
root_password=QWER324SDa
system_local=en_US
