Jumping to a point on a page 1

I have got a long html page in dreamweaver and want a list selection that when selected jumps to a point on the same page. How do you do it. Ive got the list, but it wants to go to a HTML link, Am I mising something really obvious??

In regular ASP I've used "internal" hyperlinks
<A href=&quot;#TRAN202&quot; Title=&quot;Display Trial Balance (202)&quot;>| Trial Bal</A>
Put this tag before the location in the same page.

I believe what you are talking about are bookmarks.
I created a table of contents which links to a particular text on a page.
