Hello!

I am an ASP guy, but our company has a project coming up in which we are required to write all our pages as JSP. So I am learning the ins and outs, but I have not been able to find a good IDE for developing JSP pages. I am looking for suggestions.

We currently use Visual InterDev for all our ASP development and would like a comparable IDE for doing JSP. We like the text coloring and the popup dropdown menus that help you to know what methods/properties are available for a particular command/function.

Is there a good IDE out there for developing JSP pages?

Hi,

I'm a Java Developer. I've been using IBM WebSphere products in develping software.

So far, I could recommend to you IBM WebSphere Studio ver3.5 or their latest IBM WebSphere Application Developer WSAD.

You can visit the IBM Wesbite at They even giving 90-day trail version of WSAD.

I hope this will help you.

Here we use Forte. Sun's IDE. It is full of features, but needs a heafty system to run on. NetBeans is a bit smaller, open-source version of Forte. Mike Wills
