jsp connect rdb

Hey!

Guys, I am new to this forum. It looked greatly helpful so I thought maybe any one of you might have some information on this.

I am developing an application to connect a jsp page to a RDB database which is running on OPENVMS VAX (not ALPHA) platform. It seems like there are JDBC drivers to connect to RDB for ALPHA platform.

I have been really unsuccessful to find a way to connect the jsp page to the oracle RDB database running on VAX.


Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated!!

Shouldn't a jdbc-driver like ojdbc14.jar run on every platform, and especially not being interested in the machine, where the db is installed?

I checked the JDBC driver...but it says MIN REQ are OPENVMS ALPHA...

I am looking to connect to OPENVMS VAX platform...

is there any other way except jdbc??

i am looking for any possible way...

Is there an odbc-driver for VAX?
Then you could try the jdbc-odbc-Bridge.
It's rather antique, but better than nothing.
MS-Access people use it all the time ...
