JSP advantages

I will be building alot of Web applications with Oracle database. I heard that JSP has good Security and Session management and would like to use JSP over PHP.

What advantages does JSP have over PHP?

I'd rather not get into the whole JSP vs PHP thing here - its been done to death on the web. Just type "jsp vs php" into google.

At the end of the day, it comes down to personal choice over which is "better".

Security is often down to the programmer more than the language - a bad programmer can completely bodge an application written in the most perfect langauge created, if you see what I mean !
