My e*gate 4.1.1 is unable to start. When it tries to run, it will return with program failure for jrew.exe program.

I'm running Win2000 SP3. It does not have any problems with SP1. Could it be an issue with SP3?

Anyone with a similar problem?

I got this long back, i removed every thing including egate.ini etc on my machine and tried. It worked. I am not sure whether this works but before this

Check the egate installation guide ----> Troubleshooting chapter.

Same thing is happening for me also. I installed e*gate 4.5.0 on win 2000 professional (with SP3). Sometimes it is giving jrew.exe failure, but if I restart the machine the problem goes off. But in no way I am nable to start the e*gate enterprise manager. It is neither giving any error nor any window for enterprise manager. Any help??

check your jre version... i think eGate works properly with jre 1.3...
